      Hi Willem,

Indeed, in 1963 the colors used on your bike were Regal Purple and Silver Sheen – both of which we have an exact match for. Please call our shop at (781) 245-9663 so we can discuss your project and ship you the correct paint.

    Don,
I have a 1970 T120R I purchased last summer. It has stainless fenders currently. I’m unable to determine 100% definitively whether any 1970s came with these fenders and not the painted ones. I would like to acquire painted fenders for it at some point, however would it be better to paint the existing? I would need to replace the fender stays to provide the accurate stock representation bc my current stays are black. Thoughts? This is not a numbers bike but is otherwise factory stock cosmetically with the exception of this question about the fenders.

Just about anything could have come from the factory, and many dealers tweaked bikes on the showroom floor in an effort to move them. So, there’s always the unlikely possibility that your bike came with stainless fenders. That said, there’s no way to definitively determine that, and you’ll need to leave it up to your personal taste. We happen to much prefer painted fenders – go figure – and would be happy to help you put yours right.

    Don,

I am working on a bike and would like to paint it with the 1972 Bonneville original colors.
Do you know what they were and may I buy it from you?
How many pints would I need for the whole bike?

Tks and hope hear from you soon,,
